Modernization

Improving Machine Reliability, Maintaining Code Compliance

We assist our clients in a variety of modernization services geared toward improving machine reliability and maintaining code compliance. Our rich experience engaging with multi-generational vertical transportation equipment for clients across the Federal Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, and the Private Sector enables our team to approach each unique project individually, rather than assuming prematurely that a fix lies in applying some generic solution from "template." Whether removing old equipment entirely and providing new installations, or altering and enhancing historical structures so that they may continue to serve passengers, we are passionate about providing thoughtful solutions.

Safety Training

Equipping First Responders with a Proactive Mentality

Drawing upon our multidisciplinary staff’s expertise in Elevator Mechanics, Firefighting Science, Psychology, and Higher Education, and as a signatory company of the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC), we have developed the Elevator Emergency Education (EEE) Course.

There is no standardized elevator emergency training available for first responders, and our researchers have found that existing elevator emergency guidance manuals contain logical and tactical flaws that may produce injuries and deaths among first responders and passengers.

Common risks to persons in elevator spaces, as defined by recognized governmental agencies, include—electrocution, falling, or being stricken by or caught in/between machinery and/or structural elements. Given the lack of standardized training, the possibility of one death or injury that could have been potentially avoided through heightened consciousness is haunting and inexcusable.
